About Halo Effect Aesthetics & Academy

Hi, I’m Hayley O’Brien RMN, founder of Halo Effect Aesthetics & Academy.

I’m a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse, qualifying in 2021, and I became a qualified aesthetic practitioner in 2023. My nursing background is at the heart of everything I do.

For me, aesthetics has never been about simply selling treatments. I am a nurse first, not a businesswoman. My priority is always my client’s safety, wellbeing and achieving results that are appropriate for their individual features.

At Halo Effect Aesthetics & Academy, every treatment is tailored to the individual. I believe aesthetic treatments should enhance your natural features rather than change who you are. Whether you’re looking for subtle lip enhancement, skin rejuvenation or a more comprehensive treatment plan, my approach is always personalised, considered and honest.

I will never recommend a treatment simply because it is something I offer. If I don’t believe a treatment is appropriate for you, I will tell you — even if that means saying no.

Alongside my aesthetics clinic, I also run Halo Effect Aesthetics & Academy, providing professional training for aspiring aesthetic practitioners. My aim is to share the knowledge, skills and clinical approach that I have developed throughout my own journey, while encouraging safe, ethical and responsible practice.

As a busy mum of five, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable, listened to and never judged when you’re investing time in yourself. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you can ask questions, be honest about what you want and feel confident that your treatment is being carried out with your safety at the forefront.
